Why is the credit score I received here different from the score the bank gave me?

People are often surprised to learn that they have many different credit scores, with different scales across different uses. Different factors are taken into consideration when calculating your score, while some lenders weigh certain factors more heavily than others. For example, if you are applying for a mortgage, your lender may place a higher value on some long-term factors in which your credit card provider might be less interested.
